 Good News on Easter

Message by Pastor Simon Valenzuela

Good news is important. It changes our perspective in life and inspires us to face the challenges that comes along life’s pathways.

Martha and Mary were in sorrow and grieving over the death of their brother, named Lazarus, recorded in John 11 starting in verse 17. Jesus came and spoke the truth, “I AM,“ in verse 25 and verse 26. They listened.

Yes, they argue, they speak out their grievances, but they followed Jesus to where their brother’s grave was. Then Jesus took over their situation when He challenged them to only believe and see the glory of God. In verse 43, Jesus cried out with a loud voice and said, ”LAZARUS COME FORTH.

Death could not hold Lazarus on the grave. He has to come rising from the grave in obedience to the voice of the “Lifegiver”, who said in verse 25, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?

LISTEN, YOUR EXTREMITIES IS GOD’S OPPOR-TUNITY.

Jesus can take any circumstance in life and turn it into a celebration. First, listen to Him, then have faith, and obey. He is asking, “Do you believe this?” That’s what Martha, Mary and Lazarus did. They believed and lived to share the good news to us.

THE GOOD NEWS IS:  JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE!  -- John 14:6
